Perhaps use a less dead base project? #2
Comments
hi,
my project is already based on the 1Revenger1 version, as explained in the main README.
When you follow my project's installation process, you are installing my driver, which is based on 1Revenger1's, which in turn is based on imbushuo's.
Please tell me if I understood your question :-)
Thanks, Vito

Getting a driver signed by Microsoft costs money, typically around 500/600
USD per year. Imbushuo has incurred this cost to sign the drivers that can
be downloaded at the link you indicated. I could go through this expense
myself, but it would only make sense if I had thousands of users using my
version of the driver.
So, long story short, I studied this workaround, where you install the
imbushuo driver using his signed drivers and then replace his driver with
mine directly in the Windows Driver Store (using the "Install Driver"
button in my Control Panel). My driver is self-signed (i.e. I don't pay
anything to create it).

It seems this project might be "more alive" than the current base project you're saying is Step 1 in the installation process:
https://github.com/1Revenger1/mac-precision-touchpad
Can you let us know one way or another if we can utilize this new option?
