VDiff v2 Beta (Feature Complete)

This is a tracking issue (epic) covering the initial work we intend to do before considering VDiff2 feature complete and ready for final testing before being marked as production ready:

• Resumable VDiffs #10495
  • Support restarting/resuming
• Add Create action argument to wait for the VDiff to complete before returning, showing a progress meter of some kind #10798
• Add Progress field to Show output when the Status == started to display a % of work done and ETA for completion #10666
• VDiff2: Add Stop Action #10718
• VDiff2: add Delete {all,<UUID>} Action #10609
• VDiff2: Automatic retry on error #10618
  • Automatically recover from ephemeral errors like network failures, mysql connection timeouts, PRS, tablet restarts, etc
  • Record and display LastError and LastErrorNo values for a VDiff
    • Use this error number to drive behavior, e.g. move to the error state if we encountered a non-ephemeral/non-recoverable error
• Port over support for a different source time zone from VDiff1 #10800
• VDiff2: Support Mount/Migrate Commands #11182

Stretch goal:

• VTAdmin to control and monitor VDiff2 workflows -- now part of VTAdmin: Enhance VReplication functionality in vtadmin UI #11690
• Migrate vdiff1 unit tests (vdiff_test.go) to vdiff2: this will be a non-trivial port of the mock framework from vtctld to vttablet #11151

Let's close this one once unit tests are done.

I'm going to close this as done as the last two remaining things were stretch goals that are being tracked and managed separately for v16+:

• The VTAdmin work is now part of VTAdmin: Enhance VReplication functionality in vtadmin UI #11690
• The unit test work was started in VReplication: Prevent Orphaned VDiff2 Jobs #11768 and the larger work is targeted at v16 in: Migrate vdiff1 unit tests (vdiff_test.go) to vdiff2: this will be a non-trivial port of the mock framework from vtctld to vttablet #11151
