When a VF component gets updated, or even some PHP code it's hard to casually test the functionality without spinning up a local development environment.

As part of the EBI GitLab CI, could we auto deploy the head to something like wwwdev.embl.org/vf-wp-test ?

I wonder if this would also be better for our visual testing things — test a dummy site where the content hardly changes and approve/fix things as needed?

But I guess that would only be on opening an MR too

I think this describes a pretty reasonable approach: https://css-tricks.com/continuous-deployments-for-wordpress-using-github-actions/

We might be able to integrate this with a Pantheon test site.
