Covid-19 boilerplate issue to create National pathogens portal (Netherlands) #50
Comments

Hi @TedOliekan , Thanks for reaching out. The documentation and the code itself might be outdated and it'll take some time to fix and bring it to latest. We actually have a dummy HTML site for Covid-19 portal with all static pages. Is this something you can use for your site for now? Regards, |
Hello @bhushan-ebi, Thank you for your quick reply, we much appreciate it! The boilerplate you are referring to (https://github.com/visual-framework/vf-covid19-boilerplate) is exactly the one we used! But the visual outcome wasn't the same, as shown on the screenshot. However, my colleague @TedOliekan found your trouble shooting page (https://stable.visual-framework.dev/troubleshooting/) and fixed the issue. The problem was more with the symlinks in the component directory. So, thanks for the troubleshooting page! That's sorted :-) However, we have another request: I was in touch with Marianna Ventouratou from the EBI, who has been the project manager for the COVID-19 portal and she was going to send me the colour scheme, banner and a logo (with the Dutch flag) for the Pathogens Portal (https://www.pathogensportal.org/) so we can replace the COVID-19 scheme with the one for the Pathogens Portal. We are building a Dutch Pathogens Portal as part of the BY-COVID project. Marianna is currently absent, so can you help us with these (colour code, banners and logo with the Dutch flag)? Or can you point us to the right EBI contact, please? Thanks in advance! |
Thanks Clara

Hi Clara, glad that the issue is resolved now by @TedOliekan. As for the assets you needed for Pathogen portal, it seems many team members might be away for summer vacations but let me see if anyone is available and can help you out. Regards, |
Hi Bhushan, Many thanks for your help finding out if someone can help us here! We very much appreciate it and will look forward to hearing back from you :-) Kind regards, |
Hi Clara, Sure no problem. If there's a mail thread you already have open for Marianna, please let me know if it's fine to close this issue now. Regards, |
Hi Bhushan, Thanks for checking with Marianna! I assumed she was absent from work currently but if you have checked then I am sure I will hear back from her :-) You can close this ticket. Thanks for your help. Kind regards, |

Hello, we are a By-Covid partner and we are trying to build a National pathogens portal (Netherlands) using the Covid-19 boilerplate.
Following your documentation we ran into the following problems:
the Yarn documentation mentioned is outdated. It took us a while to install Yarn. For your information, this is now the current documentation: https://yarnpkg.com/getting-started/install
When we run the boilerplate we get an unexpected browser result that does not match the Covid-19 website (https://visual-framework.github.io/vf-covid19-boilerplate/) design. The text is showing in a correct way, and so is the logo, but not the structure (please see the attached screenshot).
Can you help us solve issue nr. 2 please?
Kind regards, Ted Oliekan, Clara Amid, Robin Navest
