Menu is awesome but Open/Close not working from Custom button

You can add the css classes stellarnav-open or stellarnav-close to any html element on the page to activate opening or closing of menu on click.

Having the same issue, using a custom element with stellarnav-open or stellarnav-toggle classes momentarily opens the menu and then closes it but original button seems to work fine.
