As some features rely on git submodules, but many platforms do not support recursive pulls and submodules (CodeOcean, possibly Matlab online, etc), is there an easy way to handle this in the install script(s)?
In particular I played with Matlab online a bit, and trying to see if there's a reasonable way we can handle this (e.g., check if directories exist during install, possibly try to automatically download missing things, similar to how maybe tbxmanager works with any wgets or whatever for however it is fetching external/online resources)
