How to create a custom provider?

Moonshot AI has a context caching feature that requires messages with a leading message{role: "cache"}, although it's api is compatiable with openai, the openai language provider from @ai-sdk/openai does not seem to support it. Is there any way to create your own language model provider other than installing the @ai-sdk/provider package and write from scratch? If we can override some of the original openai language provider's method, that would solve this issue as well.

This is a custom feature - you'd need to write your own provider and use some provider extension (like w/ the anthropic provider cache feature). You can either clone the openai provider or use the mistral provider as a template (similar but simpler).
