this test has a clear pattern and could be refactored into a table driven test

Refactor test cases within EAT repo to have:

  1. Table Driven tests wherever possible
  2. Round Trip Test cases
  3. Per Interface Test Cases
  4. use require for test preconditions, and assert for test assertion:
