Hello,

I thank you for the wonderful patch. May I ask which version of Blender and Ubuntu is compatible with the patch. I tried installing the patch in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Blender 2.78. However, the patch file is not patched and there is a compilation error while making.

Hello,
The patch was tested with Ubuntu 15.04, although there should not be any issue with 14.04 LTS in principle. As described in the README, the patch was designed to work starting from commit hash c1506454ecb4630119ed7ce13b3f8cdfef6dcee0 in the Blender code base. If you want to apply the patch to a different point in time, you would have to do manual changes to ensure compatibility.
