Hello I am a maintainer for https://github.com/sensu-plugins and wanted to see if you would like to push this into the community to ensure that it gets greater visibility and continues to be maintained. Let me know if you'd like to collaborate on this.

We will probably add a handler as well for kafka with some minor modification based on someone who wrote it as part of: sensu-plugins/community#65
