Support for maplibre?

I just learned that MapboxGL has switched their licensing terms from 2.0 on:

mapbox/mapbox-gl-js#10162

It's a bummer, since they now even charge users if the tiles are hosted at another service (as we do). The community already forked the previous 1.x version, which is still under BSD:

Are there plans to support this fork?
