Hi everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to provide an update on the current status of the project.
As some of you may be wondering about the next update, I wanted to share that it’s going to take a little while. Recently, I’ve been feeling quite burned out from working on the project, and I’ve decided that it’s best for me to take a break. This decision was not easy, but I believe it’s the right one for the long-term health of both myself and the project.
Rest assured, the project is not abandoned. Updates will come in the future, although I can’t specify exactly when. It could be a month or it might be six months – it all depends on when I regain my motivation and energy.
The goal of this project has always been to bring home streaming to users on OSX and Linux, and I believe we have made significant progress in that area. However, as the number of users has grown, so has the complexity and the number of edge cases, which has become increasingly challenging to manage. While I’m eager to address all issues and continue improving the software, the fun of implementing new features has been overshadowed by the need to fix reported bugs.
I want to take this time to gain a fresh perspective on the project and find renewed enjoyment in developing it. I appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.
Your support and contributions have been invaluable, and I encourage you to continue engaging with the project and with each other. Community involvement is one of the project’s greatest strengths, and your continued participation is crucial.
Thank you for your understanding and for being part of this journey.
Cheers!
