In my syllabus, I say students get credit for "relevant" Discord posts, which leads to some discussion of what "relevant" means. Obviously, I don't say anything, since I want to leave the impression that a human is actually paying attention. It would be useful to have a way to mark a post as "offtopic" so that Sage didn't include it for grading purposes, but it didn't deserve to be removed or "warned".

Staff do have the option to use the resetlevel command (which could probably use a better name since that came from the days of v1) to deduct messages from a users academic message count.

You could probably add a context menu interaction for staff called something like mark as off topic so staff could just go through and quickly remove messages from a users total. You would probably have to store those message ids in the database though so two staff members dont mark the same message as off topic and unintentionally deduct more than intended.

A reaction emoji may be more or less intuitive, and serve as a warning to other posters. Not sure this is a better implementation, just something to consider.
