Can't launch obs-portable: can't connect to display

I'm running this from bluefin-dx-framework:38. I followed the instructions to pull the OCI w/distrobox but when I run obs-portable I get this error:

$ distrobox enter --name obs -- /opt/obs-portable/obs-portable

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vkkhrdisplay, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, xcb.

Same error, even after creating ~/.distroboxrc and adding xhost +si:localuser:$USER.

If I just enter the distrobox I get this error:

distrobox enter --name obs
xhost:  unable to open display ""
