This tool is a —superb— resource for artists doing speed drawing exercises. Most sites only have human figures, but with redditp I can essentially make playlists of whatever I want to draw. (e.g. an urbanism playlist: CityPorn+CarPics+streetphotography etc)

A visible timer would help a lot, even if it were very small. I could throw it together if a pull request would be welcome.

Thanks again for the great tool!

Yeah. Makes sense. Where would the timer stripe go?

Thanks!
Is it weird to the right of the nav bar? Would give it enough space if it needed more digits.

I was thinking maybe something more visual and less textual like:

timer visual as a bar

Though I'm not sure where the bar should go.

Like, top, bottom, left, right of the control box? Should the bar grow or shrink as time elapses? What color?

I think the thin bar along the top looks good. If it goes along the top, it won't move too much when the box changes/expands.
The bar growing left -> right makes more sense to me personally (feels more like "time until done" rather than "time running out").

Makes sense.
