Default settings in site administration

Hi,
We would like to make default settings for the plugin that will be used for each new assignment.

• It is possible to make a preselection under "Generate Similarity Reports", but this does not apply to the other elements.

• For the other elements, it is only possible to set defaults when Turnitin has been activated for all assignments. However, we cannot use that, because not all assignments should be checked with Turnitin. Turnitin should be activated manually for each assignment.

It would therefore be very helpful for us if there were the possibility to set Turnitin default settings (see screenshot) without activating Turnitin for all courses.

Excellent request - this is a use-case that applies to us, especially as related to indexing.

If staff do not check the box for indexing, the submission is not written to the TII repository.

This is a difference in behaviour from the Plagiarism Plugin, where you can specify default settings for when the service is enabled. It would be great if they both behaved the same.

Hi,
I support this request. Although described issue is not a bug per se, it is a very very important feature request.
Currently, Moodle administrators can't set up default settings of Turnitin if they choose to not enable Turnitin by default for all the relevant activities.
