oci_thrifty - how different than the OCI Limit Page

How different is oci-thrifty plugin from "Limits, Quotas and Usage" information natively available in OCI ?

oci-thrifty mod checks for unused resources and opportunities to optimize your spend and take decision around it. This is not related to any service limit or quota related to compartment e.g. below list some of the use cases

• Underused Autonomous Databases
• Unused, underused and oversized Compute Instances
• Unused, underused and oversized Block Volumes and Backups
• Object Storage Buckets without lifecycle policies
• Unattached Network Public IPs

Thank you Raj for the quick response. I am trying to present a case for using this project and hence these questions. a) How does this compare with OCI cloud advisor ? I.e What additional information does these queries provide - which is not included in the OCI cloud advisor ? Please let me know- thanks much.

Hopefully you can use those docs to perform a comparison with the standard Oracle services? Unfortunately we haven't done a detailed comparison ourselves yet. If you are able to look into this, please share with the community here!

You may also like to consider using OCI Thrifty as well as those services for Oracle. The beauty of the Steampipe controls is that they are open source so you can add your own ideas / checks to them specific to your business needs :-)
