  • chap1 contains field vs object, and explains 3D fields with the kind of data we get in geosciences
  • data models for voxels, octrees + examples of formats/software (netCDF, paraview, obj, off), instead of in chap 3dcm
  • more examples of software in specific boxes? in 2D there's a lot and it's obivous, but not in 3D. Should that be in the book? Not sure, but better for learning IMO

add specific cases to the conversion chapter:

  • how to triangulate a face
  • OBJ to CityJSON (by implying semantics with normals?)
  • etc
