This Issue is a blanket issue to track the desired feature request to connect Ganache to other RPC nodes (i.e. geth/Parity running on the same machine, geth/Parity running on another machine in the network, etc.).
Ganache is currently meant as a UI for the Ganache CLI/Core, and isn't currently meant as a client/wallet/etc for other RPC nodes/servers.
We currently don't have a plan if this feature will be implemented. While I'm sure a few of you may love to work this, this feature really has a lot of architectural changes. We're not currently looking for others to contribute PRs to solve this.

This is slightly related to #322, but I can see a solution that solves #322, but doesn't handle this feature entirely.
