Reduce default logging

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Some users have reported that logging includes INFO-level logging for each row. I haven't confirmed this myself, so please let me know if it is unexpected.

This can create security issues if the record data itself is sensitive and should not land in logs.

Could we reduce the log level for record output, so that it is suppressed by default in more scenarios?

Describe alternatives you've considered

I think a logging.conf file or similar could solve this, but it's just less portable than we'd like.
