Is this project still active? The last commit to the main-branch is over a year old, and the package haven't seen any updates since two years ago.

It is but on the back burner, and there is no new development. The goal is to keep it on CRAN indefinitely and fix bugs.

I'll return to it soon, go through PRs/issues, and update the readme to reflect this.

I'd be open to having an additional maintainer if someone wants to put in the time.

Is there any developer guide of some sort to easily navigate through the repository? And how about coding styles that a possible future maintainer has to follow?
