As the Category buttons have a border and slightly lighter background, the thin blue "selected" indicator border is a bit hard to see, at least on my laptop (I realize this might be system based). In addition to the border highlight, I suggest changing the button background color, maybe darker, but slightly less dark than the Currently Active background color. Another idea could be to make the indicator border slightly thicker.
