Using Ubuntu 17.10. Several of the shortcut keys are not working. I tried remapping them in dconf editor with no luck.

win+d - can switch to floating and horizontal but not back to vertical
win-space - can use win-j and win-k but not win-space
win-shift-space - can use win-shift-j and win-shift-k but not win-shift-space

  • unmapped win-space in gnome and it started working.
  • win-shift-space was already disabled
  • win-d was never mapped to anything

See the update at the bottom of http://gfxmonk.net/shellshape/

win+d - vertical layout (now win+v). Conflicted with ubuntu's "show desktop" shortcut.

In other words you should be using win+v in the latest version (not sure why the docs still show the old bindings).
