Hello and thank you. Is there a plan to implement tabbing of windows within the tiles as existed in ion3 or for instance under MS Windows / TidyTabs? Would implementation and submission of this feature be welcome or has it been discussed and decided against?
Thanks again,

It hasn't been discussed as far as I can remember, but I'm not super keen. My first thought is that it would need custom UI - shellshape currently doesn't draw anything itself, it simply places windows. So there's quite a bit of complexity there for something which (I imagine) wouldn't see significant use.
If you put together some more details on exactly how it would work and what the user interaction would look like I could give you a definitive answer on whether I'd accept a patch to implement it, but I don't want to get your hopes up since I think it's unlikely.
That's fair, although I'm surprised you don't see it yourself or more universally as being a desirable feature. It has definitely been a killer feature in many of the most popular tiling wm's. That said, I just found out today that my boss was fired so I'm receiving a George Castanza promotion and may not have the extra bandwidth to meet your request. I'll try though. Thanks.
