When I first installed the extension it DID return windows to their original position when switching layout ypes, and when switching back to windowed mode.

But after restarting the windows now all appear stacked in top left when coming out of tiled mode and returning to window mode.

EDIT: Seems to work sometimes and other times it does not... I'm not sure the issue.

EDIT2: So the windows return to their original location if they have been altered from their origin upon opening. If I open an application and do not drag the window first then shellshape does not remember where it belongs when returning to windowed mode.

Hmm, I'm afraid I can't reproduce. I open a window, switch to tiling, switch back to floating, and the window resumes its original location (even though I didn't drag or resize it). Is that what you're describing?

I've seen various issues where gnome sometimes doesn't fire events as I'd expect, particularly around initial window creation and sizing. But all the code is already in place to take care of this case, so I'm afraid there's no easy fix I could make.
