Tracking your working hours and getting paid

Your work = your flexibility

At Tilburg Science Hub, your working hours are Monday - Friday before 8pm. In practice, you can choose yourself when to work. Let's say you have something else to do during the day, it's perfectly fine working in the evenings or on weekends. It's just that we don't pay anything extra if you (voluntarily) choose to allocate your work differently.

When to track my working hours

  • Always log your working hours, no matter whether you're just meeting for our weekly "WOW" Meeting, or whether you're working on a project.
  • Allocate your timing to one of the projects on Clockify, and add a brief note of what exactly you have worked on. No need to use tags for now. Also, let’s make all hours non-billable (which means we won't charge your work to anybody else).

This is how you get paid

  1. Please (continuously) track the time that you spent working using Clockify. There is also a Clockify app you can use that facilitates tracking on-the-fly!
  2. On the 1st of each month, one assigned person will run the script, which will automatically fill in the form based on the Clockify records (for each TSH team member). Hours worked outside the regular working hours will be filled in the first column (i.e., Monday - Friday, before 8pm).
  3. The generated forms will be signed by your supervisor (typically Hannes or Tobias) and sent to you by the person in charge of running the script.
  4. Send the signed form to HR services before the 5th of each month (i.e., getting paid for February requires you to hand in your form by 5 March at the latest).

Note that you receive your salary around the 24th of the month following the month you have declared your working hours (e.g., if you have reported your working hours for July and submitted those by 4 August, you will be paid for these hours around 24 August).
