We have written this wiki to make your onboarding experience as smooth as possible.
We have collected a set of procedures we have found productive in organizing research projects. They are designed to be general enough to be used by the core team as well as outside researchers. The Wiki also helps you get more familiar with the various initiatives and resources provided by Tilburg University.
- Our core platform, Tilburg Science Hub, provides an overview of the underlying ideas and principles on which our approach of collaborating on research projects is based. We realized a while ago that while much of the statistical methods that we commonly use in our field of research are properly documented, there is not so much clarity about how we can work together efficiently. Tilburg Science Hub is trying to fill that void!
- Much of what we do at Tilburg Science Hub is inspired by Code and Data for the Social Sciences: A Practitioner's Guide. Make sure to read it!
- Finally, to get more familiar with working professionally on empirical research projects, please take/audit or self-study the course material of "Data Preparation and Workflow Management".
Especially from Research Assistants, PhD students and collaborators, we expect the content to be carefully studied and applied faithfully.
