Currently the tree view show version 1.2 as child of 1.1 etc.
This ends up as shifting one step right on every version, and effectively 
making the tree view not practical.

This issue was updated by revision r350.

only make items as children when they are on a new branch : eg 1.5.1.5 is child 
of 1.5, not 1.5.1.4
