Sandbox credentials for Connect 2.0 gateway #8

There appear to be some issues with sandbox credentials for the Connect 2.0 gateway. The instructions on the First Data web site on how to obtain these no longer work. Contacting First Data support doesn't achieve anything. If anyone has a set of sandbox credentials for this gateway that they can loan me, I would appreciate the use of them.

I think if you have a payeezy sandbox account, the credentials that work for Global Gateway / Connect are on the details page of the Terminal. E.g. Administration tab > Terminals sub-tab > DEMO### TERM ECOMM. I believe the Gateway ID and Password on that page are the API credentials.

Yes those are the credentials for the Payeezy gateway, which are a gateway ID and password. I have a login for the Connect 2.0 gateway, but I need the API credentials for that, which should be a store ID and a shared secret. I have what I believe is the store ID but nowhere in the connect gateway can I see how to obtain the shared secret.

Actually it appears that my test account is only for the global gateway. It appears to be no longer possible to obtain a test account for the connect 2.0 gateway.

I'm afraid I'm seeing the same thing. I did find one older linkpoint-era implementation I had worked on, but it looks like that version of the API used a PEM key file instead of a shared secret.

I was able to get a sandbox account here (the form wouldn't work in Chrome)-
https://www.firstdata.com/gg/apply_test_account.htm

The emails they send point to URLs that no longer work, but with a little more digging I found this-
https://www.staging.linkpointcentral.com/lpc/servlet/LPCLogin

It let me in with the new sandbox credentials I received, and once you get inside the interface resembles the screenshots from the Connect 2.0 manual, except all the references to Connect have been removed. If their support isn't offering any information to the contrary then this is starting to sound like a dead end to me.

OK this agrees with my conclusions too. I have contacted First Data support and had no reply so I guess that it's no longer possible to obtain test credentials for Connect 2.0. They may be intending to discontinue the gateway, I don't know.

In the emails that they send the links work if you replace "https" with "http". They just redirect you to the LPCLogin URL that you give above.

I will leave this issue open, perhaps someone who does have test keys for Connect 2.0 will come by and donate them, or perhaps someone at First Data support will identify and solve the problem.
