If you have Discord and are on the EFP discord, you will find in my post two videos with the two visual problems I have when using the latest modded exes.
If you prefer not to click on the link, you can find my post in 'modding-efp-help', and it is titled 'Visual problems with modded exes (linux)'. My username is Sael.
I will do a quick summary: I replaced the modded exes of EFP to install some mods (Screen Space Shaders 20.2 and Misery Terrain Texture). I used the latest release (2024.08.04). I noticed the two visual problems you can see in my discord post. Just so you know, I don't have issues with the modded exes that come with EFP 4.2. I tried different older modded exes. With the 2024.07.05 release, the second visual problem disappeared completely but the first was either attenuated or gone. I kept trying older versions and it was the same.
I tried to find the version of modded exes EFP 4.2 uses but I am not sure. The modpack was compiled and released on 2023.07.03. The creation dates of the exes (right click/properties) is 2024.08.07 but the modification is 2023.06.04. There is a version of modded exes that was released in 2023.06.04, another in 2023.07.03, another in 2024.08.07. This means that the modded exes used shouldn't be earlier than 2024.08.07 but they could be older than 2023.06.04.
So, I would love to know if there is a fix, and if not, well, see this post as a report. I would love to know if this is specific to linux, to linux mint, or to my pc: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 3070TI, 16Gb Ram, 1Tb SSD, no HDD. Btw, the most stable nvidia driver on Linux Mint Wilma Cinnamon is 535.183.01.
