We need a node.js API for posting toasts on the local platform

I know this sounds like a Cordova feature but it isn't. The scenario is that we receive an update (or potentially send one) and the developer has hooked up to the local synch event pump and is notified. Now their code needs to notify the user, from inside of node.js. So we need a native add on that can bridge to the local platform and raise a notification.
