Describe the bug
Consider the scenario where the OS notifications aren't working (like in my case, despite them being enabled hehe). If the app opens up and a new notification has come in, it WILL appear if I check "notifications" but what would be groovy is if the app popped up on things like invites. The way it stands, if notifications aren't working (or I ignore them), it's up to me to go find those invites...too many clicks to get to it.

okay, took the first step toward a solution. agreed that things like invites could be surfaced even better, but now at least there is a notification indicator to let you know if you have anything in your inbox. release is out for that
