[Bug]: virtual keyboard: Ctrl key followed by characters in the extra keys row is not detected

Problem description

In the virtual keyboard when I press Ctrl followed by extra keys row characters it does not get detected by termux.
If I type Ctrl Semicolon then only the Semicolon gets detected. That is the case whether is use the Semicolon from the extra keys row or from the keyboard below.

Steps to reproduce the behavior.

I used "showkey -a" on the command line to confirm the behaviour.

What is the expected behavior?

Ctrl key to be detected with all characters
