Error when attempting to save a project #1959
-
Hi all, This is the first time that I'm using SLEAP; currently I have it installed and running perfectly fine on my home directory on a remote server. The problem occurs when I try to save my project in my home directory - in trying to save as either a .slp or a .json file, I get the following error: An error occurred when attempting to save: I've just named my project one word to see if maybe that would help, but that still gives me the same error. I've checked whether or not I have h5py through pip, and if I have read/write permissions, all of which I do. Any ideas what could be the problem? |

Hi @srahman-cshl, Thanks for letting us know! Do you have a screenshot of this error happening in the GUI or any logs in the terminal around the time this happens? In general, this error typically pops up when you try to save without specifying a file extension. We try to append the file extension based on what was specified in the file browser dialog window, but it can happen that on different OSes that the data we get back from the native system file browser widget is missing something. What operating system is your remote server running? Cheers, Talmo |

Hi Talmo, sorry for the late reply! I was looking at previous threads and found that someone was having the same issue that was resolved when updating their SLEAP version. I checked my own and found that I had, for some reason, installed v1.0.0.
I just updated SLEAP to v1.3.4 and everything is working so far! I've been able to save .slp files with no issues. Thanks!
