We should register https://robocon.uk and transfer/redirect the current website/dormain.

Two hubs means that we might want to have a way of showing different competition dates, blog posts and gallery images. Explore best way to do this.

Suggestion: different subdormains cambridge/oxford.

I've just registered the new domain; I don't have access to the old domain so I can't redirect it; can someone who does give me DNS or other instruction please?

The current dormain is registered with 1&1. I no longer have the passwords but it should be a case of login in there and setting up a redirect.

I've setup the new website so that it displays what was on https://hr-robocon.org and asked 1&1 to redirect the old domain to the new one. For this issue to be closed, we need to

  • Wait for that redirect to be enabled
  • Create a robotics cloudflare account and transfer the domain from my business account to the robotics account
  • Figure out what to do about cambridge/oxford subdomains, or open a new issue for it

Can I also add setting up HTTPS? This can be done for free with "let's encrypt".

Modern browsers can show scary messages for websites without SSL.

That's already done; I did it with cloudflare when moving stuff over:

Sorry I wasn't clear. What I meant is that https is not enforced, and so if you just type robocon.uk its possible to not get the secure padlock.
