Originally they are epwings. But to use with an another software I had to convert them into JSON format.
There are various other dictionary formats, notably mdict, stardict, ABBYY lingvo dictionaries. Imo without trying to support all of these formats the effort will be better spent in making an one-click anki importer which can import cards into SM real time after making them in anki. As the community around anki is mature everyone knows how to handle different dictionary formats.
