We have a significant backlog of tickets around call number searching.

Y 4.G 74/7:P 76/4 (SW-575)
E 1.28:BETC-1820-1 (SW-4017)

Out-of-scope are some use-cases for partial call number matching:

  • SW-435
  • SW-3986 (although the implicated record also has an appropriate 999a 🤷, so things might work out)

Improve search handling for non-LC call numbers

This alters the index and query time analysis for the call number
search field to handle some special non-LC call numbers, which
makes it easier to discover these items with a call number search.
