As simple as it sounds, when using Alfae on Steam Deck to install Itch.io games, for some games it downloads the game and unpacks it but gets stuck on the “Getting Executables” step and never completes installation.
Doesn’t seem to matter what the download or executable size is, whether the game came as a zip or rar or other file, or whether the Linux or Windows game files have been downloaded. Confirmed that the game files did indeed download and unpack and are in the Alfae-created directory as expected. Some games it works and some it just doesn’t. Gone Home and Fugue In Void are two examples of games that get stuck in this way.
Steam Deck, SteamOS 3.4.4
Alfae v1.3.2

I already noticed earlier and found itchio's api is behaving unexpectedly. Last time this was resolved over time: when i tried it a few hours later, it was fine. Alfae will infinitely retry to get what executables are available to run, but the api never returns this info
In the back itch uses dash to get the executables. The only way to fix this probably is to either create my own server that runs that (no), or build the application and integrate it locally. This will however, take a lot of time
