When will it be possibile to install a fully working version of fw-daemon on Debian, without gnome-shell and gnome-shell-extensions and with less dependencies as possible?
little doubt: fw-prompt is still even needed by fw-daemon?

There is some code in the fw-daemon branches to implement a GTK gui. This hasn't been integrated yet -- and we can't really give an estimate for when it will be. We have bigger fish to fry at the moment (namely the next generation of Subgraph OS). fw-daemon does have a place in this plan but will need to be overhauled. Again, we don't know when this will happen.
We don't really have any plans to make a slim version, though I don't think it would be technically difficult to write a CLI/TUI interface for handling the prompts. I am going to tag this issue as help wanted in case somebody wants to take up the effort.
