To watch a stream, simply click on one of the stream preview images. This will open the stream launch dialog and will validate the Streamlink and player configuration and will then open the stream in the video player.

The popup can be closed by clicking the "continue" button and can be reopened by clicking the preview image again or by navigating to the "Watching" menu at the top of application (the TV icon). There are several options available in the settings menu that change the GUI's behavior after a stream has been successfully opened.

Stream filters

Twitch streams come in a variety of languages. Streamlink Twitch GUI will display the language and broadcasting language of each stream.
The former may indicate the nationality of a broadcaster while the latter indicates the language of the stream itself. These have been chosen by the broadcaster, so it may not always be correct.

Streams can be filtered in the languages settings menu. The filter will not be applied to the followed streams menu.

There are two different filtering methods:

Fade out (default)
This will dim out streams not matching the language selection. This is useful if streams should still be listed, but only the ones highlighted that match the language selection.

Filter out
This will only request streams from the Twitch API that match the language selection.
