🔖 Feature description

It would be great if you could assign names to external shares. We now have a number of external shares and we are slowly losing track...

🎤 Pitch

You could immediately see who or what the share was created for.

Is this not what you are asking for? you can edit the share name when creating it.

Also would using the description field not help keep track?

Ahh,

I thought that the name of the file share would be entered here.

When I translate "link" I don't think of the name of the file share. But in the end the link and name are probably identical.

I always like to leave the link "cryptic" so that it cannot be guessed.

when i put something in the "name" field it shows up in my shares with that name.

But only for normal file shares. For external shares, you cannot see the name of the "main external file share" and the file shares created within it.

P. S. In the mobile view you can't see the name of normal shares. The column is hidden, but you can see the heading

Exactly, my plan was to create a separate reverse share for different customers. It would then be practical if I could name these after the customer for the overview. And then of course it would be nice to see the names of the shares that the customer created in the overview so that the files/shares can be found quickly.
