Hi guys,

I'm facing an issue after performing the upgrade of OE version 5.0.8 to the newest 6.0.0 (I used the Openelec Dev Update add-on). I have it running on the following platform:

  • Hardware: Raspberry Pi 2 - Model B (1024MB RAM / Cortex-A7 ARM processor)
  • Base OS: Kodi v15.2 “Isengard” (GIT:02E7013 - COMPILED: NOV 1 2015)
  • Embedded OS: OpenELEC (Official) - Version: 6.0.0 (Kernel 4.1.12)

I tried to troubleshoot the issue by looking at the log file, and it seems to be something related to SSL ('cause that's the first error that pops up) but that's somehow cumbersome for a person who is not a developer like me.

The result is that regardless of the type of movie/series I try to open, the status is always "Opening", but nothing happens and I have to cancel...

Could you help me to zero-out this one? The log file is attached.

Thank you in advance

I am having similar problems. Also openelec 6 rpi2... When I am doing clear cache in pulsar settings it helps but after couple of movies happens again..
I also tried to play withth port range.. For now it works.
I have to point something else, I also get sporadic restarts of kodi, and I think it is also something with pulsar but not sure. Are you having it as well?

Hi ehood, yes I'm having the same "sudden restart" issue, but it is not as frequent.

What do you mean exactly when you say "play with port range"?

I've downgraded to 5.0.8 using the same add-on until the issue is solved. With 5.0.8 it works perfectly again.

Pulsar is working with a separate process and listening on a port, you don't have to know exactly what it is but, if some other process in openelec listen on the same port there will be a conflict.
In pulsar settings there is min.port and Max.port.
I am not sure if it helped but I changed the min port to 6900 instead of 6889.
I will try to see all processes in background and see their port. And let you know if I will see something interesting.

I also have the same problem. Sudden reboots and search hangs half of the times with openelec 6.0 and pulsar 0.6.1 on raspberry pi2

Used to work before upgrading both

I fear that this project is no longer maintained judging by the number and importance of the unanswered issues. Any torrent alternatives?
