Hi! I think the MacroBase pipeline could be enhanced by having an in-browser dashboard that supports Multidimensional Filtering for Coordinated Views. Visuals (look at the example visuals for Airline On-time performance data) could help re-enforce insights provided by the explanation operator.

Although the Crossfilter library comes with several tricks for creating live histograms and top-K lists, I think a few more would be needed for use in fast data settings (I haven't verified whether this need is real as it'll be a while before I work with really large datasets).

Since most interactions only involve a single dimension, and then only small adjustments are made to the filter values, incremental filtering and reducing is significantly faster than starting from scratch.

What do you think?

P.S. I've been absolutely bowled over by MacroBase's scope/potential. I have a huge list of ideas/questions/solutions related to this project and have been hesitating to reach out with them (they aren't worded perfectly). Do you have a private/semi-private ideas page where you'd allow people outside your group to contribute and discuss such half-formed ideas?
