Hi,

My name is Matt, I grew up on the East Coast, spent sometime working on the West Coast, and now I live in the Midwest with my wife and our young daughters.

I'm working on Haven, a private, open-source blogging system that anyone can run themselves. It promotes the idea of a private blog where you control who has access. I built it initially to share pictures of my daughters with friends and family. It's built on tried-and-true technology: HTML, Ruby on Rails, SSL, and RSS. It's built for people to share with each other when they want to avoid platforms which optimize for engagement and targeted ads.
