Djangonaut Space: Where Django Contributors Launch 🚀

Djangonaut Space is a peer mentoring program for contributing to Django Core and third party Django packages that focuses on group learning, sustainability, and long-term involvement in the Django community.

The program is an 8-week free group mentoring initiative, allowing individuals to progress at their own pace in a semi-structured learning setting. The goal is to empower participants to actively contribute to the future development of Django and continue both contributing code and participating in the community, supporting their development into leadership roles. 🦄

Sponsorship is important because this is a volunteer run organization that thrives when the community comes together. Any funds we receive will go toward:

  1. Recurring operating costs and tooling 🔨
  2. Opportunity grants to help our members succeed 🥇
  3. Training and Education for volunteers and members 📝
