LatinXperts started in 2021 as a Twitch show by the GitHub Stream Team, broadcast for 14 episodes on the GitHub Education channel. With the goal of empowering and inspiring the youth of Latin America through interviews with incredible personalities from the tech industry. Where we impacted more than 5 thousand people, being the 4th most watched Talks an Podcast show on Twitch with more than 700 active live users.

Now, we are a hybrid community, with the same goal and with the interest to meet, connect, collaborate and learn together about how much the world of technology has to offer.

Why support LatinXperts

After participating in multiple communities and winning many hackathons, I discovered some factors that are important to consider when starting a career in the tech industry.

From this, I designed a community model that allows members to strengthen their professional profile in a creative, safe and collaborative environment.

LatinXperts is composed of 5 main axes:

• Live Events: Through live sessions we seek to inspire, share and learn different techniques and tools that help us perform better. You can participate in person or online.

• Discussions: Live in an inclusive, safe and supportive environment in discussions ranging from Git and GitHub from scratch, to public speaking and hackathons.

• HacktoberFest, Hackathons, Code Challenges: Collaborate on interesting projects, increase your discoverability.

• GitHub Organization: Learn about community members' achievements, exclusive content and upcoming hybrid events.

• LinkedIn: Grow your professional network on LinkedIn by adding LatinXperts to your profile in the volunteering section.
