Installation - getting started

Daft question right out of the box - I've downloaded Ray from the link on the site and now have an AppImage for Linux. I'm using Ubuntu 22

I've tried using Software Installer and it stays on gathering information and appears to fail to install

How do I install the desktop app on Ubuntu?
