What:

  • More telemetry would be useful for Edit commands, this would help us answer questions like: What is the most popular model for instruction-based Edits? Or how often is user-provided context used?

How:

  • Add additional telemetry using telemetryRecorder

Reminder to also log:

  • The diagnostic code (unique to the type of error)
  • The diagnostic language/provider name etc

This will let us find the most common issues that users ask Cody to fix
