Can the beam model be controlled using cableconstraint?

I am trying to use SOFA to simulate cable driven catheter and I have got that Beamadapter is a good tool to simulate catheter, but in reality the catheter we are developing are cable driven so I was wondering if cableconstraint can be used with beam? Thanks!!

Is your catheter controlled by a single cable or multiple ones in the section ?

I'm going to use three cables to control the bend of the catheter in different directions.

Using beam models assumes that the dimensions of your catheter can be simplified in its section. In you case, this approach might not be judicious since in the section you have separate cables significantly impacting the mechanical behavior of your catheter.
