Could not create directory /snap/eclipse/55/dropins.

I had the same issue with JBoss tools.

Seems we need to somehow configure where the "dropins" directory is.

Is Eclipse still supported by snapcrafters? I don't see any activity here for a long time.

Right now, I only manage to do the quaterly updates and I'm happy that the snap works well for my purpose (Embedded C++). If you have any pull requests I can test those and give some comments, though I'm not allowed to do the actual merge.

I don't have much experience with snap packaging, maybe I need to start reading the documentation. Would be great if this was managed by upstream

@kenvandine sorry for tagging you in a random issue, but I think eclipse is, even though the UI is heavily outdated, a very very popular IDE among Java developers. And Java developers make much use of the Spring framework. Do you have any idea what might causing this issue?
